In Rivne region, TRC employees were beaten at a rehabilitation center belonging to one of the local Protestant churches

On June 5, 2025, employees of the Rivne Regional Territorial Center for the Recruitment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to carry out mobilization at the rehabilitation center of the Good Samaritan Church in the village of Zozov. However, the mobilization measures did not go according to plan, as the TRC employees were physically repelled and beaten. This was reported by the regional publication 0352.ua.

It is reported that in the village of Zozov during the verification of military registration data of citizens of mobilization age, a group of employees of one of the TRC’s of the Rivne region was attacked by unknown persons, according to preliminary data, citizens who are in the rehabilitation center at the local church “Good Samaritan,” in the amount of approximately six people, using physical force.

As a result, one of the military personnel of the TRC was injured and was taken by ambulance to a medical facility. Preliminary diagnosis: traumatic dislocation of the middle phalanx of the left hand. Another soldier was diagnosed with a jaw contusion. A police squad and an investigative team arrived at the scene. Based on the results of their work, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code. The men of draft age fled the scene.

We previously reported that Archimandrite Pafnutius, abbot of the Pochaiv Holy Spirit Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who was detained several days ago in Kremenets by representatives of the local Territorial Center for the Recruitment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is still being held at the Ternopil Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment.
