The TRC released and re-arrested a priest of the UOC in the Dnipropetrovsk region

On June 24, 2025, employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region once again detained Rostislav Kalinovsky, a priest of the Kamensk Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The clergyman, who was first detained by TCC employees on June 18, was released from the military registration and enlistment office two days later. However, on June 24, the priest was lured to the local Territorial Recruitment Center under the pretext of transferring documents and was not released from the premises. Sources reported this to Raskolam.net.

It is reported that three hours after the priest was detained again at the Kamyanska Military Registration and Enlistment Office, contact with him was lost. According to the priest’s relatives, he was again taken away to an unknown destination.

Earlier, we reported that the Ternopil Regional Territorial Center for the Recruitment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained the recent forced mobilization of two clergymen of the Ternopil Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church — Archpriests Ioann Koval and Georgy Pryimak. According to the Territorial Center, the clergymen were not exempt from mobilization, and their rank is not a reason for exemption from military service.
