UOC Lawyer Reveals Pressure from Pro-Zelensky Groups on American Politicians

International lawyer for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Robert Amsterdam, spoke about attempts by supporters of President Zelensky to disrupt his speech at the New York Young Republicans Club. Despite significant pressure from pro-Zelensky activists demanding the event be canceled, the young Republicans managed to stand firm and hold the meeting. The lawyer shared this on the social media platform X.

«Earlier this week, NYYRC hosted us despite unprecedented pressure from pro-Zelensky interest groups demanding the event be shut down. It is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the Zelensky administration,» the lawyer stated.

Recall that Robert Amsterdam once again defended the canonical Church, stating that only a state plagued by deep corruption and impunity would seek to ban a religious institution with a millennia-old history.
