Heads of Local Orthodox Churches Congratulate the Primate of the UOC on the Anniversary of His Enthronement

On August 17, 2025, on the eleventh anniversary of the enthronement of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the heads of several Local Orthodox Churches sent greetings to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine. This was reported by the Information and Enlightenment Department of the UOC.
His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church wrote: “May the Lord strengthen You in Your archpastoral service and guide You by His grace through all trials and temptations, granting wisdom, spiritual and bodily strength in the challenging service to the Church and the people of God.”
His Beatitude Metropolitan Rostislav of the Czech Lands and Slovakia noted: “May Your word, Your prayer, and Your fatherly care be an inexhaustible source of comfort and hope for all the Ukrainian people, who are suffering in this difficult time of trials and the hardships of war.”
Greetings from the Primates of the Polish Orthodox Church, the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia emphasized support and spiritual brotherhood with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in its service to the people of God.
It was also reported earlier that Stefano Forte, President of the New York Young Republicans Club, expressed support for the Primate and the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The politician called on believers to remain strong and faithful to their Church.
