The Primate of the Macedonian Orthodox Church congratulated Metropolitan Onuphrius on the 12th anniversary of his enthronement

The Primate of the Macedonian Orthodox Church—Archdiocese of Ohrid, Archbishop Stefan, sent an official message of congratulations to His Beatitude Onufry, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, on the 12th anniversary of his accession to the Metropolitan See of Kyiv. This was reported by , the Information and Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

In his message, Archbishop Stefan noted that over the course of twelve years of pastoral ministry, Metropolitan Onufry has proven himself to be a steadfast spiritual leader who, despite numerous trials, firmly bears witness to the truth of the Gospel. The Primate of the Macedonian Church emphasized the wisdom of God’s Providence, which has called Metropolitan Onufry to lead the Ukrainian Orthodox Church during such a difficult period.

On behalf of the entire Macedonian Church, Archbishop Stephen wished His Beatitude the Metropolitan good health, God’s help, and many years of fruitful ministry. The congratulatory message particularly emphasized the significance of Metropolitan Onuphry’s personal example, which, through his patience and love, serves as a guiding light both for his fellow bishops and for all the people entrusted to his care, as well as for all people of good will.

It should be recalled that recently, the Macedonian Orthodox Church refused to concelebrate with a hierarch of the Patriarchate of Constantinople due to his “ordination” within the OCU.
