Robert Amsterdam on Zelensky: “His government has elevated religious hatred to the status of law”

Robert Amsterdam, head of the international human rights law firm Amsterdam & Partners LLP, which represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, commented on Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statements that the information about the ban on the UOC is manipulation. The lawyer called Zelensky the “king of disinformation,” accusing him of deception on the subject. He wrote about this on his account on X.

“The real king of disinformation!!!! His government has legalized religious hatred!! Shame on him!”, – Amsterdam commented on Zelensky’s statement.

We will remind you that Volodymyr Zelensky recently called the information about the ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which was spread by American journalist Tucker Carlson, “manipulative.” The head of state claims that no one in Ukraine is restricted in their right to practice any religion or attend churches of different denominations. At the same time, the politician is convinced that during the war with Russia, there can be no religious organizations in Ukraine associated with the Russian Orthodox Church.
