The Ministry of Education of Ukraine recognized the success of private Catholic educational institutions

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine held a meeting with representatives of churches and religious organizations on cooperation and activities of private educational institutions. The main focus was on the establishment and operation of schools and kindergartens founded by religious communities, as well as their integration into the national education system. At the same time, the special success in this process demonstrated by Catholic communities was noted.

According to the Religious Information Service of Ukraine, the event was attended by high-level specialists from various directorates of the Ministry, including pre-school, school and higher education. One of the key issues on the agenda was the establishment and operation of private educational institutions founded by Catholic religious organizations. Representatives of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic Churches presented their developments and perspectives. They emphasized that the purpose of such institutions is not only to provide a high level of knowledge, but also to form spiritual and moral values in students in accordance with the Christian tradition.

The speakers emphasized the importance of harmoniously combining the national educational program with spiritual and moral education. The key role of cooperation with parents to create an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect in educational institutions was emphasized. The participants also discussed the regulatory support for the activities of such schools and the possibilities of partnership with public educational institutions.

Let us remind you that on September 1, 2025 in Zaporizhzhya there was a solemn opening of the Catholic school named after Don Bosco. The full-fledged educational institution, which was built in 14 months, will operate under the auspices and spiritual care of the Donetsk Exarchate of the UGCC.
