Representatives of the OCU seized another church of the UOC in Bukovina

In the village of Nagoryany, Chernivtsi region, an incident occurred around the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which belongs to the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. on September 28, a group of representatives of the OCU cut the locks on the church doors and entered the building.

According to the Dozor Telegram channel, grinders and crowbars were used to gain access to the church. The publication claims that this event was preceded by a meeting of OCU activists, at which, according to the source, documents for the church building were falsified in order to re-register it.

The source also notes that the persons who broke the locks admitted that they were not parishioners of the church and had no relation to its community. The UOC believers present at the site tried to prevent the actions of the OCU representatives, warning of responsibility for the seizure of the shrine.

We recall that on September 13, 2025, representatives of the OCU seized the Holy Protection Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Potiyivka, Zhytomyr region. The seizure was supervised by the OCU hierarch Vladimir Shlapak, who personally broke the church fence to get into the church. According to eyewitnesses, the OCU raiders did not have any documents proving their right to the religious building.
