The head of the UGCC criticized corruption in the highest echelons of the Ukrainian government

The head of the UGCC, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, in his address on the 196th week of the Russian-Ukrainian war, called corruption, especially in the energy sector, a real sabotage against Ukraine.
According to the official website of the UGCC, Shevchuk commented on the recent exposure by law enforcement agencies of a criminal scheme damaging the country’s energy system. «We share the pain of our society and … consistently stigmatize and condemn the phenomenon we call corruption, » he said. The head of the UGCC emphasized that in conditions when millions of Ukrainians suffer from lack of light and heat, such actions are not just a moral evil, but a crime against Ukraine.
We will remind, earlier we reported that 9.4 million hryvnias will be allocated from the budget of Lviv region for the restoration of the UGCC church. We are talking about the wooden church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit in the village of Verkhnyaya Rozhanka in Slavsky district of Lviv region. At the same time, according to media reports, a corruption component was revealed in the process, as the prices for restoration materials were significantly inflated.
