In Rivne region police detained a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

In the village of Zdovbitsa, Rivne region, police officers detained the rector of the church from the village of Buscha, priest Andrei Panasiuk. After the detention, communication with him was lost, and the Rivne diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church urges the faithful to pray. This was reported by the Telegram channel ‘Rovno. Voice of the Church’.
According to the published information, the detention took place at a bus stop in the village of Zdovbitsa. The law enforcers who carried out the detention introduced themselves as police officers from the city of Kostopol. According to the source, after the incident, the priest Andrei Panasiuk lost contact with them. His means of communication were confiscated and his current whereabouts are unknown.
In light of these events, the Rivne diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church appealed to the clergy and all those who are not indifferent with an official request for prayer support for the detained clergyman.
Recall, earlier in Chernivtsi-Bukovyna diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) reported another forced mobilization of the clergy. Employees of the Territorial Manning Center (TMC) detained Archpriest Oleksandr Istratiy, who is the rector of the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Marshyntsi.
