In Bukovyna, another priest of the Chernivtsi diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was subjected to forced mobilization

In Bukovyna, employees of the Territorial Manning Center (TMC) detained Archpriest Oleh Ostafiuk, a cleric of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). The cleric, who is the rector of two parishes, was stopped at a checkpoint and then taken to the TCC. This incident was not the first for the current month, earlier similar cases of detention of clerics in the region have already been reported.

According to the Chernovtsy-Bukovyna diocese of the UOC, information about the detention of Archpriest Oleh Ostafiuk appeared on January 26. The priest is the rector of the parish in honor of St. George the Great Martyr in the village of Lower Synivtsi, as well as the parish in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the village of Upper Synivtsi in the Hlybokskyi district.

The believers call for increased prayers for the detained clergyman. It is also reported that it is necessary to continue to pray for Archpriest Fyodor Hnitetsky, who, according to available information, is still in the center of staffing.

Recall, earlier we reported that Archpriest Vitaliy Chaban, cleric of the Vladimir-Volynsk diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, was forcibly mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine directly from the in-patient department of the hospital. Despite the fact that the priest has an official status of limited fitness for military service for health reasons, he was taken to a military training ground in the Lviv region after passing a military medical commission.
