In Rivne, TCC employees subjected to forced mobilization of the UOC archimandrite

In Rivne city, representatives of the Territorial Center of Completion (TCC) detained Archimandrite Herman (Kulakevich), a resident of the Varvarovskiy Skete in the village of Stary Korets in Rivne diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). The incident occurred on February 3, 2026, when the clergyman was returning from a medical facility after an examination due to an acute form of acute respiratory infection. At the moment there is no information about the further whereabouts or fate of the archimandrite.

According to the SPM, Archimandrite German (Kulakevich) was stopped by TCC representatives immediately after leaving the hospital. It is noted that the detainee is a monk and belongs to the Rivne diocese of the UOC, which gives the incident an additional public resonance. As of the current moment, information about where Archimandrite Herman was taken and what is his procedural status, has not been received.

The cleric, who is the rector of two parishes, was stopped at a checkpoint and then taken to the TCC.
