Patriarch Ilia of Georgia hospitalized due to health complications

Patriarch Ilia of Georgia has been hospitalized due to complications of his health condition. the 93-year-old patriarch, who has headed the Georgian Orthodox Church since 1977, is in the Caucasus Medical Center. His condition is assessed as serious but stable. This is reported by ORTHODOXIANEWSAGENCY.GR.
The Patriarchate of Georgia appealed to the faithful with a request for prayer support. Patriarch Ilia, being the oldest Primate of the Orthodox Church, is highly respected in Georgia and holds a leading position among the country’s public figures. Despite his advanced age and health problems, he continues to actively follow political and ecclesiastical events both inside and outside the country.
