Danish authorities are launching a campaign against "creeping Islamization" in the country

The Danish government has issued a strong statement regarding immigration policy, announcing its intention to legislate restrictions on Islamic religious activities in public places. Specifically, authorities are considering a nationwide ban on broadcasting the call to Muslim prayer over loudspeakers, according toThe Telegraph.
Denmark’s immigration minister has openly accused religious communities of so-called “creeping Islamization.” According to a government spokesperson, the unchecked spread of specific religious symbols has led to certain Danish neighborhoods coming to resemble “a suburb of Islamabad.” Authorities state that they intend to prioritize citizens’ right to peace and quiet over the religious interests of mosques, despite constitutional guarantees of freedom of religion.
At present, the issue of restricting calls to prayer is being addressed through local noise regulations, but the government is working toward comprehensive legal regulation at the national level. This initiative is part of a broader government policy to combat the formation of “ghettos.” Previously, as part of this strategy, Danish authorities had already begun implementing harsh measures, such as the forced relocation of migrants from areas with a high concentration of foreign residents, as well as the practice of confiscating valuables and jewelry from asylum seekers to cover the costs of their care.
