Yet another high-ranking official and "opponent of the UOC" has been accused of corruption involving millions

Sergey Pashinsky, former acting head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, pleaded guilty to abuse of power and participation in a criminal organization. According to , the Information and Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the politician entered into a plea deal with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).

According to the investigation, Pashinsky’s corrupt actions caused the state damages totaling over 817 million hryvnias. Although official authorities have not directly named the convicted individual, media reports confirm that this is indeed the politician in question.

It is noteworthy that Pashinsky had previously actively called for the removal of churches belonging to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from military units. Such rhetoric sparked widespread public outcry, as many servicemen defending the country on the front lines are believers of the UOC.

As a reminder, the Chief Rabbi of Kyiv, Yonatan Markovich, officially expressed his willingness to vouch for Irina Mudra, the former deputy head of the Office of the President, who is suspected of corruption offenses. The statement was made during a court hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine.
