The Supreme Court will hear the appeal filed by the Korets Women’s Monastery

The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (GESS) has officially announced the date of the court hearing in the high-profile case concerning the state’s expropriation of the Korets Women’s Stavropegial Monastery. According to the GESS website ( ), the appeal will be heard on November 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

The subject of the dispute is the Holy Trinity Korets Women’s Stavropegial Monastery of the Moscow Patriarchate. Representatives of the religious organization filed an appeal against the ruling of the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal dated August 14, 2026. The Administrative Court of Cassation, as part of the Supreme Court, accepted the case for review (Case No. 855/2/26, Proceedings No. A/990/23/26).

As a reminder, we previously reported that the media had determined the total amount of real estate owned by the Korets Holy Trinity Stavropegial Convent of the Russian Orthodox Church, located in the Rivne region. Journalists expect that all of the monastery’s property will be expropriated by the state once the Holy Trinity Convent loses its legal registration.
