There is no need to inflate the situation with the UOC, - the head of the Ministry of Culture

Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said that a «unique situation» and «tolerance» has developed in the religious field in Ukraine. The head of the ICIP said this in an interview with Radio Svoboda.
“This is a unique situation. You are unlikely to find one where. And the tolerance that we have in the religious field amazes many of our Western partners. Because, despite the fact that there may be some manifestations of any of the churches, on the whole the situation is normal, calm, correct. Discussions periodically take place, but they do not go beyond the borders,” Tkachenko said.
Commenting on the collection of signatures of believers on the abolition of the law on changing the name of the UOC, Tkachenko said that he «takes a neutral position.»
“In any case, I think it is not necessary to move in one direction or the other in order to inflate this situation, which our enemies could take advantage of. Dialogue, a culture of dialogue is the best medicine for preventing any discussion,” he added.
