Cherkasy Regional Council voted to ban the UOC

The deputies of the Cherkasy Regional Council supported the appeal to ban the activities of the UOC on the territory of Ukraine. Valeriy Danilevsky, deputy of the Cherkasy Regional Council from the Servant of the People party, announced this to Ukrinform.

“We voted almost unanimously. Only a few people didn’t get their bearings,” Danilevsky said.

“Cherkasy deputies want law enforcement to take measures to prevent subversive and collaborative activities of representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which has been under the Moscow Patriarchate for a long time,” the message says
