The press service of the Pochaev Lavra denied the information of the SSU that the person who was suspected of justifying the aggression of the Russian Federation was allegedly a novice of the monastery. It is reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists.

“This person is not a novice, he was not enrolled in the brethren of the Pochaev Lavra, he is not registered in the Lavra,” the monastery emphasized.

Recall that the day before, the SBU website reported that “a 48-year-old novice of the Pochaev Lavra used profiles in banned Russian social networks, through which he actively disseminated Kremlin propaganda narratives.”
