The prosecutor in the case of Metropolitan Pavel filed an appeal against the court decision<

The prosecutor of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office Evgeny Anatolievich Zavistovsky filed an appeal against the decision of the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv, according to which Metropolitan Pavel was placed in a pre-trial detention center and a bail of more than UAH 33 million was set. Lawyer Nikita Chekman announced this on his own Telegram channel.
“Probably, the amount of the bail seemed too small to the prosecutor, or he didn’t like that his demand was not satisfied if the bail was paid, to prohibit Metropolitan Pavel from visiting the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and all other churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” the lawyer noted.
He added that “it will be very interesting to get acquainted with the next” work of cynicism “of our valiant law enforcement persecutors of faith.”
