That I was not allowed to attend a meeting of the UN is a flagrant lawlessness - Bishop Gideon

The representative of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Bishop Gideon, at the initiative of Great Britain, was not allowed to speak at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation with the church in Ukraine, Global Orthodox reports.
“The fact that I was not allowed to attend a UN meeting is a flagrant lawlessness – first of all, on the part of the United Nations itself, because it has its own laws, which today the chairman from Great Britain violated by deciding to deprive me of the floor. It was complete lawlessness, a violation of the very of the UN Charter. Apparently, they have a fear – a fear of the truth,” said Bishop Gideon, who was previously the abbot of the Tithes Monastery of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Kiev.
As the bishop stated, during his speech he intended to voice specific facts about the persecution of the canonical church in Ukraine, its clergy and believers.
“To not give a person a word to say is, first of all, to sign their helplessness, in fact, they were afraid,” he added.
