UN: People around the world should have the right to freely practice their religion

At a UN briefing, the representative of the UN Secretary General Stéphane Dujarric, answering a question about the position of the Secretary General of the world organization António Guterres regarding the persecution of the UOC in Ukraine, said that the organization advocates that people around the world could freely practice their religion, writes Global Orthodox.
“We believe that people around the world should have the right to freely practice their religion,” he said.
But Dujarric did not comment on whether Guterres discussed this topic with representatives of Kyiv.
“I can’t add anything to this,” the representative of the UN Secretary General said.
