SSU conducts fourth search of Metropolitan Feodosiy

On June 19, 2024, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine conducted another, already the fourth, search in the home of the hierarch of the UOC, Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kanev. According to the hierarch, in this way the SSU is trying to induce him to decide to go for an exchange as a “military enemy”. About it the Metropolitan reported in his Telegram-channel.

“They were constantly trying to induce me to exchange with prisoners of war. They were at my house. They came to the Lebedinsky monastery where I was serving. They met with me at the diocesan office. They were hanging around the Sosnovsky District Court in Cherkasy when activists were organizing provocations there, throwing themselves under cars, shouting slogans. It was then that I was offered an exchange for the first time. And then we went to the monastery, home, to the diocese. It seems that the action under the court was specially organized to encourage me to agree to the exchange as a prisoner of war,” – he explained.

The bishop added that today, during the searches, they tried to seize from him the Charter documents of the Cherkassy diocese of the UOC.

“They did not find the original charter, but they found a copy and it was seized. This is the only thing that was seized today as part of the SSU searches”, – added the Metropolitan.
