"When we collect 240 signatures," - the speaker of the Parliament told under what conditions the law on the ban of the UOC will be put to a vote

The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has explained under what condition the draft law No 8371 aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will be brought to the session hall for voting. Stefanchuk said that for this purpose it is necessary to collect 240 signatures of people’s deputies. About it reports «Espresso».
«When we collect 240 signatures, the bill will be brought into the hall. My signature is there, how many signatures have now collected, I do not know. There are organizers there — deputies who are in charge of collecting them. But I think, as soon as we reach the figure of 240, without fail and immediately this bill will be introduced into the Ukrainian Parliament,» — Stefanchuk said.
The speaker added that the vote for the ban of the UOC should have a 100 percent result, so the coordinating Council decided to preliminarily collect signatures of MPs who will support the bill #8371 in the session hall.
«I emphasize once again: we have no chance of not voting or not having enough votes. That is why the conciliation Council came out of the fact that we must see signed 240 votes — and then this bill will be considered in the Verkhovna Rada,» — added the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
We shall remind you that earlier we reported that the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the party «Servant of the people» Oleksandr Oleksiychuk said that the Ukrainian Parliament collected the necessary 226 signatures to put to a vote the bill № 8371, aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The MP added that they plan to vote for the bill in the coming weeks.
