Head of the OCU is included in the list of TOP-100 Ukrainians who have the greatest influence on life in the country

NV magazine has published an annual ranking of the one hundred most influential Ukrainians, which includes politicians, military officers, volunteers, businessmen, cultural and sports figures. Among the people who “have the greatest influence on life in the country,” there was also a place for the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko. He was given the 35th position in the rating. This is reported by the website of the publication “NV”.

It is worth noting that there is no other religious leader in the published rating, despite the fact that in May 2024, NV published the rating “TOP-100 Ukrainians of the Decade”, which, unlike this time, included representatives of the UGCC, in particular its current head Sviatoslav Shevchuk. Thus, Dumenko, according to the publication, is the only representative of the religious sphere of Ukraine who influences life in the country.

On the other hand, one cannot but agree with the authors of this rating. Given the influence of the head of the OCU on the processes related to the adoption of the law banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Dumenko has indeed directly affected the lives of at least 6 million Ukrainian citizens who, according to the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience, are parishioners of the UOC.
