The greatest hostility in Ukrainian society is between the OCU and the UOC - media

In Ukrainian society, the greatest mutual hostility is observed in social groups that identify themselves with the OCU and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. At the same time, it is noted that representatives of the UOC are relatively non-hostile compared to supporters of the OCU. This was reported by Olga Snopok, an expert of the OPORA public movement, according to the Espresso channel.
“We recorded the greatest polarization between supporters of the OCU and the UOC. It is between these groups of the population that the most pronounced hostility is observed. Interestingly, representatives of the UOC-MP are not very hostile to others. However, representatives of the OCU who have heard or know about the cooperation of the UOC-MP with Russia are very hostile to them. Representatives of the OCU are not ready to interact with representatives of the UOC-MP at all. This is especially true when it comes to personal communication. For example, we asked whether people are ready to marry a representative of another church. It is precisely on such issues that the greatest distance between the representatives of the OCU and the UOC-MP is felt,” — said Snopok.
As reported, a new opinion poll conducted by the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences in conjunction with the Association of Political Psychologists of Ukraine showed that supporters of the UGCC and the OCU were the most interested in banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In addition, according to sociologists, more than 70% of Ukrainians supported the law banning the UOC.
