Yaremche City Council plans to ban the activity of the only UOC church in the city

The City Council of Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk region, has called on residents to attend public hearings on the issue of banning the activities of the local St. Panteleimon Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the territory of the community. The hearings are scheduled for November 11, 2024. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Yaremche City Council.
“We invite you to PUBLIC HEARINGS on the termination of the activities of the religious community of the Holy Great Martyr Pantaleon (UOC-MP).
TIME: November 11, 2024 at 11:00
VENUE: City Council meeting room (first floor, entrance from Svobody Square),” – the statement reads.
As we reported earlier, as of September 1, 2024, 16 religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are still registered in Ivano-Frankivsk region. This was reported in response to a request sent to the relevant department of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.
