Kyiv Authorities Call for Easter Celebrations in Online Mode

The capital’s authorities have appealed to religious community leaders with a request to limit the holding of large-scale Easter services and to maximize online broadcasts of services from places of worship due to the increased risk of enemy attacks. This was reported on the official Kyiv portal.

According to the recommendations, religious communities should ensure the broadcasting of their services on Ukrainian media and via the internet so that believers can participate in the celebrations without gathering in large numbers in churches.

At the same time, Kyiv authorities do not plan to change the curfew hours for Easter. It will remain in effect from 00:00 to 05:00, as usual.

It is also reported that for the 2025 commemoration days, special transportation will be organized to take people to the city’s cemeteries.

Earlier, we reported that in Kherson region, during a meeting of the Council of Churches and Religious Organizations of the region, a decision was made to organize Easter celebrations in online mode to avoid large crowds in churches. This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, in his Facebook post.
