Head of the Macedonian Church Congratulated Metropolitan Onufriy on the Feast Day of Venerable Onuphrius the Great

On the occasion of the commemoration of Venerable Onuphrius the Great — the heavenly patron of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine — Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid and Macedonia sent greetings to the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was reported by the UOC’s Information and Education Department.

In the message sent on behalf of the entire Macedonian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Stefan expressed wishes for spiritual strength, physical health, and inspiration in the continued fulfillment of service for the benefit of the faithful entrusted to Metropolitan Onufriy.

Archbishop Stefan paid special attention to the steadfastness of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, its clergy, and believers who, in his words, “are persecuted for the truth” and yet remain faithful to Christ, not forgetting the promises of the Kingdom of Heaven.

The congratulatory message also included wishes for longevity and a blessed tenure at the Kyiv See, which, as noted, is under the heavenly protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is also worth noting that Ukrainian MP Heorhiy Mazurashu from the “Servant of the People” party called on law enforcement to identify and punish supporters of the OCU who attempted an attack on the Holy Spirit Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Chernivtsi.
