Recall that recently Epiphany Dumenko exploded with criticism of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Dumenko, speaking out against the establishment of the Romanian Orthodox Church of Ukraine by the Romanian Church, stated that the Romanian Patriarchate has no right to create parallel jurisdictions on the territory of Ukraine without coordination with the OCU. He is convinced that the OCU is fully capable of independently meeting the religious needs of Romanian-speaking believers within the Romanian vicariate, which was previously established within the organization.
The Romanian Church celebrates the centenary of the proclamation of the Patriarchate

On July 30, 1925, the Patriarchate of Constantinople issued a Tomos recognizing the status of the Patriarchate of the Romanian Orthodox Church. The Romanian Church made this decision at the Synod in February 1925 and informed all Local Orthodox Churches. This was reported on the official website of the Romanian Patriarchate.
It is reported that on the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the status of the Patriarchate in Bucharest, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated, during which the consecration of Myra was performed. As noted in the statement of the Romanian Patriarchate, the preparation of Myra is permitted only to autocephalous Orthodox Churches, and the Romanian Orthodox Church received this status 140 years ago.
At the end of the festive events, the Holy and Great Myrrh was poured into 44 small silver amphorae and presented by Patriarch Daniel to representatives of the dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate. Only five of the diocesan hierarchs were absent from the event and will receive the Holy and Great Myrrh later.
«This precious myrrh, first of all, embodies the strong faith and deep love of those who love Christ; it embodies a pure life lived in holiness. But at the same time, it embodies all the gifts that clergy and laity have made throughout the history of Christ’s Church, gifts that flow from love for Christ and His Church,» — said Patriarch Daniel.
