UOC-KP Reports on the Health Condition of Filaret

On August 26, 2025, the UOC-KP commented on information that had appeared in the media regarding the health of Filaret Denysenko. This is stated on the organization’s website.

The statement notes that Denysenko is undergoing a scheduled medical examination and treatment, and his condition is assessed as satisfactory.

“We ask, as always, for prayers for the health of our Primate – His Holiness Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine Filaret,” the UOC-KP website stated.

Earlier, we reported that Oleksandr Pyvovarskyi, Chief Specialist of the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and Religions of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Zhytomyr Regional Administration, said that the “Kyiv Patriarchate,” headed by Filaret Denysenko, has not legally ceased to exist, since the head of the UOC-KP never transferred the founding documents. For this reason, a large number of UOC-KP communities still remain in the state register.
