Metropolitan Arseniy, released on bail, was detained again by SBU officers

Metropolitan Arseniy, who was previously held in a pre-trial detention center, was released on bail, but immediately after his release he was detained again by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine on a new suspicion. Currently, the bishop is in the SBU building for investigative actions.

It is reported that the lawyers managed to achieve the release of the metropolitan on bail in the amount of 1 million 514 thousand hryvnias. It is noted that the court’s decision was largely influenced by the extremely poor state of health of the hierarch.

Nevertheless, around noon, immediately after leaving the detention center, the Metropolitan was taken away by SBU officers. The reason for the re-detention was a new suspicion, which was announced to him three weeks ago.

Throughout the night, the bishop was kept in the premises of the Security Service of Ukraine. Metropolitan Arseniy was being prepared for settlement in the pre-trial detention center. Today, a new court hearing will be held with regard to the hierarch, at which they plan to elect a preventive measure in the form of detention.
