In Transcarpathia, TCC officers detained a UOC priest right in the hospital

In the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, a scandal has erupted over the detention of a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). According to parishioners’ reports, Archpriest Vasyl Drahun, rector of the Church of the Holy Myrrh-bearers in the village of Rakovo, was detained by officers of the Territorial Center of Completion (TCC) in Uzhgorod while he was undergoing inpatient treatment in a regional hospital.

According to Telegram-channel Pervy Cossack, parishioners claim that Fr. Vasyl Drahun was illegally detained and snatched by representatives of the TCC. The incident occurred when the clergyman was undergoing treatment. The exact circumstances of the detention and the further fate of the priest are currently being clarified.
