"We are for Malyuk!": boxer Usik publicly supported the head of the SBU, who took an active part in the ban of the UOC

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has publicly expressed support for the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk. This step was taken against the background of rumors actively circulating in the information space about possible personnel changes in the SBU leadership.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the world champion in heavyweight published a joint photo with the head of the security agency on his page in Instagram. The caption to the photo was laconic: «We are standing with Malyuk».

The publication of the athlete appeared against the background of discussions about potential personnel reshuffles in the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine. According to sources, in case of realization of such a scenario, the current head of the SBU may be moved from a key position and transferred to another role in the national security system.

We shall remind you that earlier political analyst and former MP Oleksandr Chernenko said that the Security Service of Ukraine played a key role in the ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Chernenko is convinced that it was the SBU’s work to «expose collaborators» that became the foundation for the Ukrainian parliament to pass law No 8371.
