The Reserve has Ukrainianized the plaques with the names of the Kyiv Cave Monks

The Kyiv Cave Monastery National Conservation Area has rebranded the names of the saints whose imperishable relics rest in the caves of the Holy Dormition Kyiv Cave Monastery. The plaques with the names of the saints, which were previously written in Church Slavonic, have been translated into Ukrainian. This was reported by Raskolam.net.
According to the publication, the names of the Kyiv-Pechersk monks, which were previously written in the Church Slavonic language, were replaced with Ukrainian. Also, the names and place names that were mentioned in the inscriptions were changed. For example, St. Ilya Muromets is now listed as “Ilya Murovets”.
In addition, the new plaques indicate the days of remembrance of saints according to the “new” Gregorian church calendar, which was approved for use in the OCU several years ago.
Earlier, we reported that the employees of the “reserve” changed the locks on the doors of the churches in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, blocking access to the monks of the UOC.
