St. Michael's Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was robbed in Vinnytsia

The church in honor of the Miracle of the Archangel of God Michael, which belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), was robbed in the Sabarov microdistrict of Vinnytsia. The incident, recorded on the night of March 19, 2026, caused serious material damage to the religious community and jeopardized the functioning of the parish.
According to the press service of the Vinnytsia diocese of the UOC, the intruders broke into the premises, having broken the windows beforehand. In the course of the theft were stolen money and valuables intended to ensure the life of the temple, including payment for utilities and covering current household expenses.
Representatives of the diocese note that the parish was actually deprived of all accumulated financial resources. “As a result, the parish has suffered significant material losses,” the official statement emphasizes. In connection with the incident, believers are urged to support the Sabarovsk parish by helping to repair the building and restore its full activity.
Recall, law enforcement agencies returned the stolen bells and church utensils of the Skorbyashchenskiy skete of the Skorbyashchenskiy skete of the Svyatogorsk Assumption Lavra, which were stolen on the night of January 25, 2026. Thanks to the prompt actions of the police, the property was found already on January 27 and handed over to the Lavra on January 30.
