Vadym Novinsky reported about preparation of an information provocation by the Office of the President

Protodeacon of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and former MP Vadym Novynskyy has said that there is a plan of the Ukrainian presidential office to discredit him. According to Novynskyy, a four-week campaign is being prepared against him to accuse him of having Russian citizenship and working for foreign special services. He said this in his Facebook account.

According to the information published by Novinsky, the plan includes regular publications in social networks and sending official requests to the SBU, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Migration Service to check his documents. This strategy is supposed to present the former MP as a “Russian agent of influence” integrated into the Ukrainian elites. Vadym Novinsky himself called these accusations “outright slander and lies”, emphasizing that the issue of his citizenship was repeatedly checked by the competent authorities both under the current administration and under the presidency of Petro Poroshenko.

According to the protodeacon, such actions are caused by the painful reaction of the Office of the President to any criticism. He also pointed to the increasing use of forged documents and falsified stories against public and political figures in Ukraine.

We shall remind you that earlier Vadym Novinsky made a statement accusing the Security Service of Ukraine of mass fabrication of criminal cases against clergymen of the UOC. In his opinion, the vast majority of persecutions have no real grounds and are used by the authorities as a tool to fight against the Church.
