"This is not Hanukkah": In Vinnytsia region, on the eve of Easter, introduced a ban on mass religious events outside the temples

The Defense Council of Vinnytsia Region has decided to temporarily ban any mass religious events outside religious buildings. This measure is aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens and minimizing risks under martial law.
According to the Department of Nationalities and Religious Affairs of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, the relevant restrictions concern the organization of processions, pilgrimages and large-scale prayer meetings. The main purpose of introducing these measures is to prevent possible sabotage and protect the population from potential missile attacks.
The official report emphasizes that the ban is not aimed at limiting the activities of specific denominations. These rules are uniform for all religious organizations of the region without exception. The authorities of the region emphasize that the restrictions are dictated solely by security considerations and the need to preserve the life and health of believers.
We shall remind you that earlier in Kyiv, a PCU cleric, Oleh Sknar, together with members of the Jewish community, lit a Jewish Hanukkah menorah on the territory of the Pokrovskyi temple at the military hospital.
