A march attended by thousands took place in North Macedonia in support of traditional family values

A large-scale public event aimed at supporting the traditional institution of marriage and the Christian upbringing of children took place in the Macedonian city of Bitola. According to Religija.mk, thousands of believers took to the city streets to openly declare their commitment to Orthodox standards of living.
The event, titled “The Real Pride Parade” and held for the fifth time, proceeded along the central street of Shirok Sokak and concluded at the Officers’ House. March participants advocated for the right of children to be raised in traditional families consisting of a father and a mother, emphasizing the importance of following God’s commandments.
The march’s organizers openly contrasted their initiative with the gay pride parade previously held in the country’s capital, Skopje. Activists emphasized that their event was a “true pride parade” celebrating their people and religious heritage.
As a reminder, in Thessaloniki, the finale of the 14th Thessaloniki Pride festival was temporarily interrupted after a man in a cassock lay down on the road in front of the parade, holding a cross and an icon. Greek police removed the protester from the road and took him to a police station, after which the event continued and concluded along the planned route.
