Archbishop Sylvester: Ukrainian media staged an information blockade of the UOC

In his interview to Greek journalists, Archbishop Sylvester of Belogorodsk spoke about the current information blockade of the UOC by the Ukrainian media. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.
“Ukrainian journalists from almost all leading channels simply refuse to communicate with us,” said Archbishop Sylvester.
The bishop said that in the first days of confrontations near the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, representatives of the UOC personally approached the journalists of Ukrainian channels and said: “Let’s talk, we will explain our position to you.” But even if it was filmed on camera, then, as a rule, it was not in the report.
According to the hierarch, now there is an information blockade of issues of Ukrainian Orthodoxy and the coverage of these issues by representatives of the UOC.
“We see the option of breaking this blockade only through communication with journalists who are outside Ukraine,” The Rector said.
