Hierarch of the Jerusalem Patriarchate spoke in defense of the Estonian Orthodox Church

Archbishop Theodosius of Sebastia, the hierarch of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, has spoken in defense of the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The hierarch believes that the Estonian authorities cannot persecute the EOC only because of its spiritual kinship with the Moscow Patriarchate. The hierarch’s comment is relayed by the Communication Service of the Russian Orthodox Church.
“We also oppose the use of the military conflict as an excuse to persecute the canonical Orthodox Church in Ukraine, in Estonia and in other countries. We call on the ruling authorities of Estonia to immediately stop these persecutions and unjust actions against the Estonian Orthodox Church, which is not a party to any political or military conflict, but, like any Orthodox Church, is a messenger of peace, love and unity. We believe that the persecution of any Orthodox Church in the world is a persecution of the entire fullness of the Church,” — Archbishop Theodosius emphasized.
Earlier we reported that the city authorities of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, are breaking the lease agreements for the premises used by the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. We are talking about the premises of the diocesan chancery, which is located on Pikk Street in the historic center of the city.
