A member of the commission that “studies” the relics of the Kyiv Cave Saints has been awarded 16 times by the OCU

One of the members of the special commission of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, which seized the Near and Far Caves of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in order to “study” the relics of the Kyiv-Pechersk saints, turned out to be the recipient of 16 awards received in different years in the UOC-KP and the OCU. Andriy Glushchenko, a publicist and deacon of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, said this on his Facebook account.
“The list of church awards from the UOC-KP and the OCU is held by the same Doctor of Veterinary Sciences Oleg Petrovich Melnik, who will (among other members of the commission) investigate the “scientific value” of the relics of the Kyiv-Pechersk monks:
— The Order of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2013);
— Order of St. George the Victorious of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2014);
— the highest award of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called, II degree (2014);
— Blessed Certificate of Merit of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2014);
— Order of Christ the Savior of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2015);
— Order of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr, III degree, Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2015);
— Cyril and Methodius Medal of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2016);
— Order of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr, II degree of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2018);
— Order of Prince Volodymyr, Equal to the Apostles, First Class, Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (2019);
— Blessed Certificate of Merit of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (2019);
— Order of St. Michael the Archangel, II degree, Orthodox Church of Ukraine (2019);
— Medal “For Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine” of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (2019);

Earlier we reported that the registrar of the Lviv Regional State Administration Solomiya Hryniv, who re-registered the Holy Spirit, St. Nicholas and St. Peter and Paul communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Chernivtsi to the OCU, was previously awarded a diploma “For Merit to the OCU” by the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko.
