OCU opens 'theological seminary' in Chernivtsi

A “theological seminary” was opened in Chernivtsi under the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the OCU. The first Academic Council elected candidates for positions in the institution, and the start of training was announced for September. It is noteworthy that the staff of the institution was also attended by the well-known raider “chaplain” Roman Hryshchuk. The event was reported by molbuk.ua.

According to the organization, the “seminary” is also opening a Regent-Dyakiv department, the duration of which will be 3 years.

“Our students who pass the NMT can enter the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy for state education. The seminary also provides free tuition, both at the Regent’s and Dyakiv’s departments and at the main department. Students can study there in parallel,” said the hierarch of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the OCU, Theognost Bodoryak.

Earlier it was reported that a conflict broke out in Chernivtsi between the entrepreneurs of the Cheremosh radio market and the OCU community, on whose land the market is located. Entrepreneurs claim pressure from the church and appealed to the city council to allow them to continue working until the end of the war.
