Research: 60% of Ukrainians consider traditions important for society

A new sociological survey has shown that a significant part of the Ukrainian population attaches great importance to traditions in public life. According to the data obtained, 60% of Ukrainians consider them an important factor, which emphasizes the deep rootedness of cultural values in modern Ukrainian society.
According to the Detector Media portal, the survey results demonstrate that the majority of citizens see traditions as a basis for social stability and national unity. This indicator shows that cultural heritage continues to play a key role in shaping public consciousness and strengthening social ties.
The survey data indicate a high level of importance of preserving customs and cultural norms for the country’s citizens. Such sentiments in the society reflect the desire to strengthen national identity through appealing to historical and cultural roots.
We shall remind you that the Ukrainian Institute of Sociological Research “Razumkov Center” has conducted another opinion poll on the trust of Ukrainians in public institutions operating in the country. According to the published data, the Church, as a set of religious organizations, is trusted less than the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer organizations.
