Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy was urgently hospitalized

On the morning of 28 November, the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kanev, was urgently hospitalized in one of the city’s hospitals. As reported in the Cherkassy diocese, the reasons for hospitalization are currently being clarified. About it reports the Telegram-channel of the diocese “Cherkassy blagovestnik”.

“Metropolitan of Cherkassy and Kanevsky Theodosius urgently hospitalized in the hospital in urgent condition. The diagnosis is being clarified. All Orthodox Christians are asked to pray for Lord Theodosius and his recovery”, – is noted in the message.

We will remind, earlier we reported that the Sosnovsky district court of Cherkassy rejected the petition of the defense to return the foreign passport to Metropolitan of Cherkassy and Kanevskiy Theodosius. The defense asked to return the document for the bishop’s trip to the UN Council meeting, but the prosecutor’s office objected, pointing to a high risk that the accused could flee from justice abroad.
