OCU cleric calls for boycott of businessman for supporting construction of UOC church

The notorious cleric of the OCU Roman Hryshchuk called for a boycott of the BRSM-Nafta gas station chain owned by businessman Andriy Biba because of his support for the construction of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) church in the village of Pochapky. Hryshchuk accused Biba of supporting the «Russian world» and called on «patriots» to refuse the services of his company. He wrote about this on his Facebook account.

Hryshchuk noted that Biba was included in the database of the Myrotvorets website because of his assistance to the UOC. «Patriots, I don’t know where you refueled your cars! But I know exactly where you should not do it anymore! The owner of the BRSM gas station chain, Andriy Biba, has financed the construction of another UOC-MP church in the Rivne region,» he wrote.

The church in Pochapky was consecrated on February 15, 2026, and this is not the first time Biba has supported the UOC. The Rivne Diocese of the UOC expressed gratitude to the businessman for his contribution, noting that he has repeatedly helped in the construction of churches.

Earlier we reported that the notorious OCU chaplain Roman Hryshchuk, who is actively involved in the seizures of churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Chernivtsi region and incites hatred against the UOC on social networks, was officially recognized as a mentally ill person. MP Artem Dmytruk published a certificate stating that Hryshchuk was undergoing outpatient treatment in a psychiatric clinic due to an exacerbation of mental illness.
