Naftogaz will fund the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Dovzhenko Film Studio

Naftogaz of Ukraine intends to fund the restoration of cultural heritage sites damaged by Russian attacks, specifically the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studio. The exact amount of funding is still being determined.
According to ua.news, the decision was announced by Serhiy Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine. According to him, Russian strikes are directed not only against infrastructure but also against Ukrainian identity; therefore, the restoration of destroyed sites and the preservation of national heritage require the combined efforts of the state, business, and society.
Naftogaz also called on other responsible Ukrainian businesses to join initiatives to restore cultural heritage sites. The company emphasizes that such projects are important not only for preserving monuments but also for protecting the country’s historical memory.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that PrivatBank allocated 2 million UAH for the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve, which sustained damage as a result of the Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of June 15. The bank has also launched a fundraising campaign so that citizens, businesses, and organizations can join in the restoration of one of Ukraine’s key religious sites and cultural heritage monuments.
