In Khmelnytskyi, TRC officers forcibly mobilized a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

An incident involving a member of the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region: Archpriest Alexei Bondar, rector of the church in the village of Khutorskoye, was drafted despite having medical certificates documenting serious illnesses. reports this via “First Cossack.”

According to the information received, Archpriest Alexei Bondar, a cleric of the Kamensk Diocese of the UOC, arrived at the Khmelnytsky Military Registration and Enlistment Office to undergo a military medical examination at his place of residence. The clergyman claims that, despite providing the necessary medical documents confirming serious health problems, the decision to mobilize him was made immediately. Furthermore, according to the priest, Military Registration and Enlistment Office staff subjected him to psychological pressure and insults based on his religious affiliation.

Subsequently, Father Alexei was sent to a military unit located in the Ternopil region. In contrast to his initial reception at the Military Registration and Enlistment Office, the unit treated the clergyman with kindness and courtesy. After reviewing the priest’s medical condition, the unit’s command gave him the opportunity to gather and submit additional documentation confirming his unfitness for military service.
