The metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon is in Georgia. He met with the Georgian Patriarch and conveyed «fraternal greetings from Patriarch Bartholomew»
Emmanuel also pointed out the need for bilateral contacts «in order to strengthen friendship and unity in order to mutually overcome modern hardships and challenges.»
The goal seems to be much more prosaic.
Emmanuel continues his attempts to break the GOC, to recognize the Ukrainian schismatics from the OCU.
