Pope Francis: Let's return our thoughts to Ukraine and pray for it

On October 19, 2022, during a meeting with pilgrims, Pope Francis recalled the torture and destruction that Ukrainians suffer from and called for prayers for Ukraine. This is reported by the Vatican News.

“Let’s return our thoughts to the long-suffering Ukraine and pray for Ukraine: pray with an eye on all the terrible things that are happening there, torture, death, destruction,” the Pope said.

The pontiff also expressed solidarity with the Nigerians who are suffering from the floods.

“Let’s pray for those who lost their lives and for all the people who are being tested by such a devastating natural disaster. Let these brothers and sisters feel our solidarity and the support of the international community,” he urged.
